The usual sources are reporting that President Bush will nominate John Roberts, Jr. from the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals to replace Sandra Day O’Connor on the Supreme Court. I know nothing about this guy but the reports seem to indicate he would fit right in with the conservative wing of the Court.
I have a feeling that certain elements are going to try to turn this into a very contentious process.
Apparently the Edith rumor of earlier today was unfounded.
