Baby Its Hot Outside

Yes, its true, the DC area is in the middle of a heat wave. It is 11pm as I write this and the temperature has yet to drop below 85 degrees and it looks like things are only going to get worse over the next several days.

There really isn’t anything good that can be said about weather like this. I took Riley outside about an hour ago before sending him to bed and, when we got outside, he just looked at me as if to as “Are you nuts ?.” I say this every summer, but I cannot conceive how people lived in conditions like this before air conditioning.

    Oh well you see Global Warming did not exist before Air Conditioning was invented. The day the plans for the first central heating/ac unit were in the US Patent Office (assuming we invented the thing) the overall temperature rose from a comfortable 85 degrees in Texas in mid-July to well over 100.
