Its hard to believe that today is the first day of August already. Where has the year gone ? Where has the summer gone ?
It sounds like a cliche but this summer has gone by incredibly fast. Part of the reason it seems like that, I think, is that Kellie and I have been incredibly busy. It seems like we’ve been doing something or going somewhere every weekend since Memorial Day (if not before that) and we’re pretty much booked through Labor Day. Its frustrating sometimes, because it would be good to have a weekend where we could just *be* and not have to worry about being somewhere or doing something, but its also good to be getting out of the house, despite this year’s heat.
My birthday is coming this coming weekend and I’m sure we’ll be doing something. Kellie has asked me what I’d like to do and, so far, the idea of visiting the new National Air and Space Museum Annex near Dulles Airport is the one that appeals to me the most. We shall see I suppose.
Anyway, its Monday and time to get back into the groove……..
