I believe in the free speech that liberals used to believe in, the economic freedom that conservatives used to believe in, and the personal freedom that America used to believe in.

Imam Robertson Update

by @ 1:13 pm on August 24, 2005. Filed under Moonbats

Apparently, Imam Robertson is attempting to clarify his remarks about Venezuala’s President Hugo Chavez.

I didn’t say ‘assassination.’ I said our special forces should ‘take him out.’ And ‘take him out’ can be a number of things, including kidnapping; there are a number of ways to take out a dictator from power besides killing him. I was misinterpreted by the AP [Associated Press], but that happens all the time,” Robertson said on “The 700 Club” program.

Just what does the Imam of Virginia Beach think the Green Berets, Navy SEALS, Delta Force et al do ? “Take him out” does not mean take him out for a nice steak dinner at Morton’s. It means something very specific…….something a former Marine like the Imam should know. Of course, if this story is true, the Imam didn’t really have much experience with actual combat during his Korean War years.
