The Cleveland Indians continued their end-of-season surge last night beating the Royals 11-6 and coming within 1 1/2 games of the once-dominant Chicago White Sox. They also have a 1 1/2 game lead over the Red Sox in the wildcard race.
In the meantime, the Yankees beat the Orioles 7-6 and now lead the AL East by a full game.
