Friday Morning Blogging

by @ 6:59 am on October 21, 2005.

Apologies for the light blogging yesterday, but there were several reasons.

First of all, I was exhausted when I woke up yesterday morning and was surprised that I was able to write the two posts that I did. After that, there wasn’t really that much out there that I felt compelled to comment about. Well, that’s not entirely true, there’s the Miers nomination, the Coburn Amendment, and other evidence of continued insanity in our nation’s capital. Most of all, though, I really wasn’t up to writing anything that hadn’t already been said.

Second, it was Kellie’s birthday yesterday so we spent the evening celebrating. I cooked dinner outside and we shared a fabulous bottle of Kunde’s 1999 Drummond Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon — one of three bottles of this wine that we bought last year in the Napa Valley.

Now, what’s going on out there ?
