You wouldn’t know it by watching the Mainstream Media, but gas prices have been dropping like a stone over the past several weeks. Prices for pump gas have dropped by more than a dime a gallon each week in the last month, according to Lon Anderson, director of public and government affairs for AAA Mid-Atlantic.
“Gas prices could very much drop by another 30 cents per gallon during the winter,” he said.
The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas in Virginia — $2.13 according to AAA’s latest estimate — remains lower than the national average at $2.29.
