Happy Thanksgiving

by @ 10:12 am on November 23, 2005.

This is likely to be my only post for the next several days. We have company coming into town this afternoon for the weekend and there will be much eating, drinking, and general merriment going on in the household —- and that’s only accounting for the three dogs that will no doubt be running the place by this time tomorrow. I’ll post again when I’ve emerged from my turkey hangover, possibly as early as Saturday.

In the meantime, Stephen Bainbridge has an article at Tech Central Station discussing what wines to serve with Thanksgiving dinner. His recommendations are good all around, but here are a few of my additions:

Inexpensive Merlot: Red Diamond, Kunde
Expensive Merlot: Twomey Cellars

Inexpensive Cabernet Sauvignon: Red Diamond, Beauliu Vineyards
Expensive Cabernet Sauvignon: Cardinale, Beauliu Vineyard Georges de Latour Private Reserve

Enjoy.
