Fellow Washingtonians, abandon your cars now.
A messy and hazardous winter storm of snow, sleet and freezing rain is headed toward the Washington area, the National Weather Service warned today, with the potential to disrupt Friday morning’s rush hour.
The storm, heading eastward from the Ohio Valley, is expected to bring 5 to 7 inches of snow before it’s over Friday, with the serious snowfall starting about 11 p.m. tonight and picking up Friday morning.
Tomorrow should be an especially fun morning around here.
