A Political Fashion Statement ?

I’m not really paying attention to the Alito hearings right now since I’m at work but the above picture from CNN caught my attention. The woman that Alito is holding hands with his is wife. I don’t know who the other “lady in red” is, but between their dresses and Alito’s tie I’ve got to wonder if this isn’t a subtle red state vs. blue state point being made.
