Below The Beltway

I believe in the free speech that liberals used to believe in, the economic freedom that conservatives used to believe in, and the personal freedom that America used to believe in.

More On The Virginia Blog Carnival

by @ 7:27 am on February 28, 2006.

As I mentioned late yesterday, or was it early today, Kilo has another post up about the current direction of the Virginia Blog Carnival that’s worth reading. Also worthy of being checked out are the comments to his original post, including two posts that stood out to me.

First, Mandy, who has her own blog writes:

I’m not really into politics. The past few times I’ve even looked at the blog carnival, and the first few have been politically motivated posts, I’ve closed my browser and not looked at any of the blogs.

Then, an anonymous poster asks:

I have a blog, but why would I want to submit anything to that political mess?

And, ImNotEmril shares a comment that he received as well:

I can read a lot of the same stuff in the WaPo on any given day. Some of those folks are pretty bitter. That was my first and last trip to the carnival.

I don’t know about anyone else, but from now on, I am going to do my best to make sure that my posts to the VBC are about something other than politics.
