Howard Stern vs. CBS

by @ 1:16 pm on March 14, 2006. Filed under General

Howard Stern appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman last night and used the opportunity to respond to the lawsuit filed earlier this month by CBS.

Howard Stern continued his “I Hate Les Moonves” tour Monday night, and the only noteworthy fact about the whole thing: It was on CBS. (Yes — you know, Les is the chief executive of CBS, which just sued Stern.)

Stern’s appearance on “Late Show with David Letterman” — scheduled before CBS recently filed a lawsuit against him for defrauding the corporation — turned into a diatribe against the CBS boss. That is pretty much what Stern’s done in his daily diatribe against him on his Sirius radio show.

“I’m not going to let Les Moonves do to me what he did to Dan Rather,” said Stern to Letterman, referring to the defrocked “Evening News” anchor.

Letterman defended Moonves — “I’ve never been happier at CBS” — to which Stern replied: “Don’t defend him. He’ll sue you next.”

Heh. The depositions in this case will probably be very entertaining.
