Last night’s game between the George Mason Patriots and Witchita State Shockers was never really a contest. From the beginning, the Patriots dominated the floor, starting with three successive three point shots before Witchita had even scored a basket, and it just got better from there. At the half, Mason was ahead by 16 points and, in the end, they beat Witchita State 63-55, which is probably closer than it should have been.
So the Cinderella ride continues and, on Sunday, it will face its biggest test of all when the Patriots go up against the top-ranked Connecticut Huskies, who beat Washington in overtime last night. The odds are against them for sure, but this entire season has been a surprise so who knows what might happen.
