Contrary to rumor, I have not fallen off the face of the earth. Instead, I’ve been busy thanks largely to a trial which ended yesterday, favorably I might add. I should be back to normal blogging over the next several days.
In the meantime, I wake up to this latest example of Congressional stupidity:
WASHINGTON (CNN) — Every American taxpayer would get a $100 rebate check to offset the pain of higher pump prices for gasoline, under an amendment Senate Republicans hope to bring to a vote Thursday.
Umm…ummm. Oh forget it.
Congress: “Really! We’re doing something to help! Anything! Don’t pay any attention to the man behind the curtain! We didn’t cause the problem, we swear! We’re here to SERVE you, remember!”
When in doubt, pander!
