I believe in the free speech that liberals used to believe in, the economic freedom that conservatives used to believe in, and the personal freedom that America used to believe in.

In lieu of posting substance, here’s my list of interesting reads:

Brad Warbiany reviews Glenn Reynolds’ An Army of Davids, which I wrote about back in March

Eugene Volokh writes about a Federal District Court Judge’s unique resolution to a rather juvenille discovery dispute.

The Court will fashion a new form of alternative dispute resolution, to wit: at 4:00 P.M. on Friday, June 30, 2006, counsel shall convene at a neutral site agreeable to both parties. If counsel cannot agree on a neutral site, they shall meet on the front steps of the Sam M. Gibbons U.S. Courthouse, 801 North Florida Ave., Tampa, Florida 33602. Each lawyer shall be entitled to be accompanied by one paralegal who shall act as an attendant and witness.

At that time and location, counsel shall engage in one (1) game of ?rock, paper, scissors.? The winner of this engagement shall be entitled to select the location for the 30(b)(6) deposition to be held somewhere in Hillsborough County during the period July 11-12, 2006. If either party disputes the outcome of this engagement, an appeal may be filed and a hearing will be held at 8:30 A.M. on Friday, July 7, 2006 before the undersigned in Courtroom 3, George C. Young United States Courthouse and Federal Building

The perfect way to resolve a stupid dispute over where to hold a deposition, if you ask me.

The Anchoress rightly condemns Ann Coulter for her idiotic remarks on the Today show earlier this week. I’m not a conservative, so I really don’t care about this, but Coulter is, without a doubt, the Michael Moore of the right. And I still don’t understand why she was wearing a cocktail dress at 7am.

Don Surber takes a look at what sports reporting would look like if the New York Times applied the same rules it does in Iraq.

And, finally, Andrew Sullivan posts an image being emailed by American troops in Iraq:

Heh. Something tells me the late Mr. al-Zarqawai is more likely spending his eternity seeing images like this:
