Its summer in Northern Virginia, and that means humidity and temperatures in the 90s. Not the most convenient time in the world for the air conditioner to break down.
And that’s exactly what happened to us yesterday.
We had someone out last night, but they need to replace a part that they won’t be able to get until this morning at the earliest so we spent the night in the heat, which wasn’t too bad with the windows open. Hopefully, for the sake of my wife, my dog, and the company we have arriving this afternoon, this will be taken care of soon.
Update: This just in…….the part we need is available, plentiful as a matter of fact. Unfortunately, the contractor won’t be able to install it until tomorrow morning barring a scheduling miracle. So its another night of living with the heat for us.

I just spoke with the utility company. They say keep those cards, letters, and most importantly, checks coming.
