There’s been alot written today about the British discovery of a plot to destroy as many as ten Trans-Atlantic airplanes and I won’t add to it. This is clearly a story that has yet to reach its conclusion, and we can all be thankful that British and, hopefully, American intelligence was able to break this plot up before it came to fruition.
What is ironic, though, is that it comes only two days after the supposed triumph of the anti-war Netroots crowd in Connecticut’s Democratic primary. To the supporters of Ned Lamont, the War on Islamofascism apparently isn’t a concern at all. Tell that to the people who very likely would have died had this plot not been discovered,
Stephen Littau sums it up best:
The threat of Islamofascism is one most of us have failed to take seriously. Islamofascism and our unwillingness to deal with it is the greatest threat to our security, our liberty, and life as we know it. These are serious times which require serious leaders with serious plans to defeat a serious enemy. I am seriously skeptical that such a leader exists and the future of our country is in serious jeopardy.
Not just our country, I’m afraid, but all of Western Civilization.
