Florida Congresswoman Katherine Harris, who is currently running for Senate in a campaign nearly every Republican in the state wishes she would abandon, has revealed just how big an idiot she really is:
ORLANDO, Aug. 25 — Rep. Katherine Harris (R-Fla.) said this week that God did not intend for the United States to be a “nation of secular laws” and that the separation of church and state is a “lie we have been told” to keep religious people out of politics.
“If you’re not electing Christians, then in essence you are going to legislate sin,” Harris told interviewers from the Florida Baptist Witness, the weekly journal of the Florida Baptist State Convention. She cited abortion and same-sex marriage as examples of that sin.
Harris, a candidate in the Sept. 5 Republican primary for U.S. Senate, said her religious beliefs “animate” everything she does, including her votes in Congress.
Which makes me wonder just what God’s position on funding for the Department of the Interior actually is.

She does make one point. Religion is a part of politics, no matter how much Democrats say it is not. I am sure that many, if not most, of our politicians hold their political convictions based on their faith. Even atheism and agnosticism may influence the way a politician votes. For people to say that there is a “seperation of church and state” is simply naive, because a person’s faith, I believe, is the most fundamental set of mind that we have, and it may determine many of the decisions we make.

Hope this is not too off-topic for you. It gets to the root of the problem of deluded and greedy politicians who seek to impose their own ignorance on millions of others. Because of our reliance on money, politics, and religion, we are teetering on the verge of worldwide disaster. Idiots like Ms. Harris couldn’t care less about everyone else as long as they get their hands on wealth and power, even if it means pretending to serve the Creator. It is long past time that people stand up for truth and justice and give these scoundrels their due.
