A crazy celebrity and his brainwashed fiance are getting married in Italy and the world goes wacko:
BRACCIANO, Italy (AP) — Tom Cruise, waving to fans, arrived in this medieval town Saturday for his star-studded wedding to Katie Holmes, a few hours after his future bride and her baby, Suri were driven through the gates of a 15th-century castle.
Small flames from oil lamps flickered from the battlements of Odescalchi Castle as hundreds of the town’s residents and fans of the actors crowded the small square outside.
Pouring rain had forced Holmes, who wore a black dress and boots, and her daughter, clad in a white outfit, to take shelter under large, green umbrellas as they left their limousine earlier in the day. But the sun was shining on the castle when Cruise arrived, and the actor, wearing dark glasses, leaned forward from the back seat of the van to wave.
“Tom!, Tom!” some fans shouted as the van sped through the gate.
And, to boot, it looks like they’re just doing the fake Scientology wedding thing and not getting legally married:
Bracciano Mayor Patrizia Riccioni said the celebrity couple would wed in a Scientology ceremony at the castle, 43 kilometers (27 miles) north of Rome.
Scientology ceremonies contain many elements of traditional weddings, including rings and vows. But they also include certain Scientology fundamentals, including vowing never to go to bed without communicating about any differences.
Scientology rites are not legally recognized in Italy, and would have to be preceded or followed by a civil union.
Riccioni’s office had not received a request to celebrate a civil wedding as of early Saturday.
At least this means that Katie Holmes will be able to have a real Catholic wedding when she comes to her senses like Nicole Kidman did.
Otherwise, yawn.

Unfortunately, people are stupid and they will fall for this PR tactic from the church and forget things like the CBS 48 hours “Scientology: Question of Faith” story that was aired recently.
The critics will need to work a little harder to get the religious mafia known as Scientology exposed to the world (as a lot still think it is ‘merely silly’, instead of dangerous)
