Now I remember why I liked Virginia, when they were scheduled to get 12-16 inches of snow everything closed, two weeks beforehand, and it normally melted within a few days. I also lived in an apartment, with a contract company who shoveled and plowed. Here, well, I’m the contract person, and I’ll be shoveling, a lot.
Heh.

They actually closed the schools here today, instead of just having late start. That was mostly due to the fact that at 6am when they make the call we were in the middle of a white out.
And, for the folks in Virginia, I didn’t go buy milk, eggs, or toilet paper last night, and in about an hour I plan on going out for lunch. Of course, by then they’ll have plowed and salted again for the third for fourth time.
Yeah, I can’t wait until my first ice-storm down here in Atlanta. I plan on grabbing a chair, heading into the grocery store, and just sitting there watching it. I’m sure it will be fascinating.
I remember when I first moved from the midwest out to California. The week before I moved, I don’t think the weather ever got about 15 deg F. When I completed the drive to California, though, I looked at the ice scraper in my car with a grin as I threw it in the trash…
