Tom Cruise = Christ ?

by @ 3:33 pm on January 23, 2007.

Something tells me this would be a pretty bad career move:

TOM Cruise is the new ?Christ? of Scientology, according to leaders of the cult-like religion.

The Mission: Impossible star has been told he has been ?chosen? to spread the word of his faith throughout the world.

And leader David?Miscavige believes that in future, Cruise, 44, will be worshipped like Jesus for his work to raise awareness of the religion.

A source close to the actor, who has risen to one of the church?s top levels, said: ?Tom has been told he is Scientology?s Christ-like figure.

?Like Christ, he?s been criticised for his views. But future generations will realise he was right.?

Cruise joined the Church of Scientology in the ?80s. Leader L Ron Hubbard claimed humans bear traces of an ancient alien civilisation.

Note to Cruise: People already think you’re a nutburger. Sacrilege is only bound to make it worse.

Does that make Katie Holmes-Cruise Mary Magdalene?

    Somebody had to say it.

    Tom “Christ” Cruise

The leaders of Scientology have dubbed Tom Cruise the Christ of Scientology. David Miscavige, a leader in Scientology believes that someday Cruise will be worshiped like Jesus.?Like Christ, he?s been criticised for his views. But future generations…

I always knew that Scientology was a crazy, off-the-wall cult invented by a science fiction writer who had a sideline as a con artist. I like this one for one very simple reason, that having heard this no reasonable person will ever again give that so-called religion the benefit of the doubt.

For the record I am not a believer in any religion but I do acknowledge that much of what is attributed to Jesus of Nazareth is of value in guiding how one interacts with others, whether he was a real or fictitious character.

If there was a ‘pick the Messiah’ poll I’d pick George Bush before I’d pick Cruise, which is quite something when you consider that I believe President Bush and his senior staff should be impeached, tried for illegally waging war on and occupying Iraq, and shut up in Leavenworth for the rest of their natural days. On the other hand I’d pass on that to see Scientology come crashing down around Cruise’s ears because in the long term that would be more beneficial to the human race than putting a term-limited politician and his appointees in jail.

Mel Gibson and Tom Cruise have a great future together in movie-making. Some ideas: “The Resurrection,” “The Ascension,” and — of course — “The Second Coming!”

Oh!!!! It makes perfect sense now. Tom Cruise is not gay. He’s not crazy. He’s just Christ the alien.

I really am not a bit surprised that the spiritually bankrupt leadership of Scientology should make such a statement
concerning Tom Cruise. Since the organization’s logo has a Cross on it to deliberately fain some kind of connection with Christianity in the first place. They may say their cross has eight points on it and that it is not meant to imply any association with Christianity; but the fact that they have to explain this in itself belies what they claim.
The fact that Tom Cruise is not at all like Christ,is the sadest part of all.

The story is a complete falsehood. Stop listening to tabloid rumors. By your own NINTH COMMANDMENT you should not spread malicious gossip around.
