Kellie and I returned late yesterday afternoon from an anniversary excursion to the Charlottesville, Virginia area. It’s an area we’ve visited on day trips before in the past, but not one that we’ve spent a lot of time in so, when we were looking for someplace nearby to spend our anniversary; well, it may not have been a week-long cruise through the Hawaiian Islands, but it was the logical choice.
For our home base, we stayed at Keswick Hall in Keswick, Virginia. Not a hotel, but not a bed & breakfast, either, it really was the perfect place for the weekend. From there, we spent a good deal of time exploring the surrounding area, including more than a few local wineries. Among our favorite stops were Prince Michel Vineyards, Keswick Vineyards, and Jefferson Vineyards. We also went into downtown Charlottesville and walked the historic campus of the University of Virginia. And there was plenty of time to relax too.
So that was anniversary weekend, but the big day is actually today. Two years ago today Kellie and I were married at St Colman Roman Catholic Church in Cleveland, Ohio. Definately the best day of my life. Happy Anniversary Kellie !
