I believe in the free speech that liberals used to believe in, the economic freedom that conservatives used to believe in, and the personal freedom that America used to believe in.

My Five Seconds Of Fame

So here’s how it started. I’m sitting at home on Thursday evening watching something, a Star Trek rerun I think, on TiVo when I get a telephone call from my in-laws in Ohio. Turn on ABC News, I’m told. And, even more confusing, I apparently was on the news.

As it turns out, my Liberty Papers post on the Boston “terror scare”, which had gotten a lot of traffic from Google News all day Thursday, had been picked up, in a sense, by ABC and a screen shot of the final line of the post, along with my name was broadcast nationwide Thursday evening.? News Channel 8 here in Virginia rebroadcasts the ABC News every evening so I was able to watch it later that night.

It was a surreal experience in some ways. And pretty cool. And, outside of my in-laws and one other person in Ohio that I know of, I don’t think anyone else noticed.
