It may be Sunday, but I know what all the television station’s here in the D.C. area will be talking about on Monday. Apparently, there’s a major snowstorm headed toward the Eastern United States:
(State College, PA) - While any snowfall recently has been light, a storm set to strengthen in the southern Plains will spread a swath of plowable snow from the northern High Plains to the Ohio Valley Monday into Tuesday. The Interior Northeast will then be under the gun for a significant amount of snow for Valentine’s Day, while the Coastal Northeast will see a mix of snow, sleet and rain.
Here’s what the snowfall projection looks like this afternoon:

The D.C. area is just on the southern edge of the greater than 12 inch area. So I can already see the reporters lining up at Home Depot, Lowe’s, and Safeway tomorrow morning watching people buy rock salt, shovels, bread, and milk.
Maybe this will be a big deal Wednesday morning, but I’ll believe it when I see it.
