Twenty Seven Years Ago Today

by @ 10:17 am on February 22, 2007.

I’m not much of a hockey fan, but there is one game I’ll never forget.

It was February 22, 1980. The United States vs. the USSR. To say that the Americas were underdogs is putting it mildly. I watched that game from beginning to end (it’s probably the only hockey game I’ve ever watched from beginning to end) and still remember that I pretty much lost my voice because I screamed so much. It was a great game.

27 years ago, hard to believe it was so long ago. That was a great moment in time, thanks for the memory jog.
