Well, he didn’t actually discovery anything, but, still, I’m not sure what to make of this:
Brace yourself. James Cameron, the man who brought you ‘The Titanic’ is back with another blockbuster. This time, the ship he’s sinking is Christianity.
In a new documentary, Producer Cameron and his director, Simcha Jacobovici, make the starting claim that Jesus wasn’t resurrected –the cornerstone of Christian faith– and that his burial cave was discovered near Jerusalem. And, get this, Jesus sired a son with Mary Magdelene.
No, it’s not a re-make of “The Da Vinci Codes’. It’s supposed to be true.
Let’s go back 27 years, when Israeli construction workers were gouging out the foundations for a new building in the industrial park in the Talpiyot, a Jerusalem suburb. of Jerusalem. The earth gave way, revealing a 2,000 year old cave with 10 stone caskets. Archologists [sic] were summoned, and the stone caskets carted away for examination. It took 20 years for experts to decipher the names on the ten tombs. They were: Jesua, son of Joseph, Mary, Mary, Mathew, Jofa and Judah, son of Jesua.
But then, of course, there are a few other details:
Israel’s prominent archeologist Professor Amos Kloner didn’t associate the crypt with the New Testament Jesus. His father, after all, was a humble carpenter who couldn’t afford a luxury crypt for his family. And all were common Jewish names.
Call it James Cameron’s Da Vinci Code.

This reminds me of the ossuary they found a while back that said “James, son of Joseph, brother of Jesus” … which was about as unique as finding a tombstone in Dublin that said “Sean, son of Ryan, brother of Patrick.”
February 24th, 2007 at 6:25 pm
It strikes me that not associating this find with the New Testament Jesus makes perfect sense, but it can be very profitable to leap to conclusions these days. When controversy equals money, we get controversy. Instead of actual news and genuine entertainment, we entertainment posing as news.
Consider that horror stories and fantasies work because the authors are expert in getting use to suspend reality for a time. Isn’t that enough? Do we really need the same folks doing news and documentaries?

AS A CHRISTIAN I LOVE THIS. MANY ATHEISTS SAY HE NEVER LIVED BUT THIS VERY UNASSUMING MAN FOUND HIM! CATHOLICS SAY MARY REMAINED A VIRGIN (ANY WAY THIS GENIUS CAN CONFIRM THAT STORY)? DAVINCI SAYS HE MARRIED AND HAD CHILDREN (IS OUR GREAT FINDER SURE THESE TWO WOMEN ARE NOT MARY OR MARTHA WHO MORMONS SAY WERE HIS WIVES?SCEPTICS SAY HE WAS NOT REALLY DEAD BUT MERELY IN A SWOON. WAS THIS BODY DEAD YET OR DID HE JUST APPEAR DEAD? I AM WONDERING WHERE HE GOT THE DNA? WAS IT FROM THE SHUOUD OF TURIN? GNOSTICS SAY HE WAS GOD BUT REALLY NOT A MAN BUT ONLY A PHANTOM. CAN HE EXPLAIN HOW A PHANTOM GOT MARRIED AND HAD KIDS? OH THE WONDERS OF MODERN SCIENCE AND EVEN MORE SO HOW WONDERFUL HE COULD BE FOUND BY A MOVIEMAKER. WILL WONDERS NEVER CEASE?

I can prove Jesus Christ rose from the dead and is alive today. Since Jesus Christ is and was God, he was not limited to his physical body at any time. He stood on the banks of Jordan and “saw” Nathanial sitting under a fig tree 35 miles away. Nathanial fell on his face and confessed Jesus as the Messiah, the Son of God when told this. (Knowing Jesus had never left the banks of Jordan.)
In Mark 16:18,19, Jesus, having given his disciples the Great Commission, began to ascend right up off the surface of the earth and out of sight into the heavens. (Also in Acts 1:1-12).
BUT in verse 20 it says that the disciples went everywhere preaching the word and the LORD went with them, performing miracles of healing to prove their words were true. (or to prove that he, the Lord approved of their doctrine).
How could Jesus go with each of the disciples as they went everywhere preaching the word. THE same way he could say, WHEREEVER two or three are gathered together in my Name, there am I in their midst.
1 Corinthians 15:45, 47, The first man Adam was made a living soul, but the last Adam (Jesus Christ) was made life-giving Spirit.
The two terms, Holy Ghost and Spirit of Jesus were used as synonyms in Acts 16:6,7.
Ephesians 4:10, He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit, 2 Corinthians 3:16-18.
Jesus said I will not leave you comfortless, I will come unto you. John 16:7; 14:18.
I can prove Jesus Christ rose from the dead and is alive today and was God manifest in the flesh, and as the Holy Ghost is in the world today continuing his wonderful ministry to this world.
Jesus chose 12 men and taught them for over three years. Then he commanded them to wait at Jerusalem for the Promise of the Father (also called the Baptism of Jesus with the Holy Ghost as evidenced by speaking in unknown languages).
THEN in Acts 2:33, Jesus poured out the Gift of the Holy Ghost on 120 of his followers and baptized their souls or inner beings with the Holy Ghost and they all spoke in languages unknown to themselves but known to the listening crowd.
The 11 (+1) apostles preached the First New Testament Gospel to that crowd in Jerusalem that day.
The listeners were convicted of their sins and asked the apostles, “Men and brethern what must we do to be saved?”
THE ANSWER was the FIRST SALVATION solution ever offered by heaven for forgiveness of sins and the new birth.
THE ANSWER CAME from all 11 but Peter was quoted: Here is what you must do to be saved from your sins:
REPENT (meaning to get out of the sin business, turn away from all your sins)
AND BE BAPTIZED in water (total immersion) into the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, and you also shall receive the
GIFT of the Holy Ghost for the promise is unto you and to your children and to all that are afar off, even to as many as the Lord our God shall call.
3,000 souls accepted that message that day and became the first Church at Jersalem.
NOW, here is the proof. Jesus offered miracles to the Jewish world that he was God in the flesh, their Messiah. Jesus offered miracles as proof of his true identity.
He said, If I do not the works of my Father don’t beleive me…but if I do the works of my Father, believe me for the works sake.
NOW I offer proof also. When my wife and daughter both died of cancer 17 months apart, I almost died myself from grief. But I knew God was greater than cancer.
We tried everything medical or spiritual but they went right down and died.
I read 1 Corinthians 12:9,10…where Jesus put Gifts of Healing in the Church. I thought, that is what we need, the Gift of Heailng.
I didn’t know what a Gift was and am still not exactly sure how it all works.
BUT I began to fast and pray for the Gift of Healing. I fasted 21 days at first, then many other fasts.
Finally, in 1989, on the last day of August I began a consecration fast and went to a cabin in the Ozark Mountains and stayed with it until October 13, 1989. 43 days
During the sixth week of that fast, just on water, Jesus Christ appeared to me while I lay on my bunk. His glory filled the room. He just looked at me at first.
Then I suddenly realized that something had happened. He had taken away the fear of cancer and aids. I don’t know how that happened.
THEN
he spoke. He said, Son, you can’t come against a devil you are afraid of.
Then he showed me how the Gift of Healing works. It works by calling the devil or infirmity by name, binding it in Jesus Name and commanding it to come out and it will go.
THAT Gift has emptied cancer wards in Novgorod, Russia and Moscow. Also in Kenya, East Africa it has emptied eight aids wards and also cancer wards. Many churches have sprung up due to this Gift, called, ‘fishers of men’ Churches-Kenya.
I have been to Canada and the USA from coast to coast. Literally thousands have been healed of cancer and aids, epilepsy, total insanity and many other ailments.
THE president of Kenya, The Honorable Daniel Moi (now retired) homored me with a land grant and also non-profit status in Kenya.
See my web site at http://www.rlbm.org
MY proof is very simple. The Lord Jesus told me to go out in the spirit of Elijah and say, “THE GOD THAT ANSWERS BY FIRE, LET HIM BE GOD.”
Therefore, I challenge all religions and their leaders in the world:
I will give you half the people with aids or cancer or epilepsy or insanity etc. that come to me. If you can call the devils of affliction out and we can know it (without any medical aid of any kind) then we will serve your gods.
BUT if I call the devils of affliction out, and we can know it…then you all come and serve my God, the Lord Jesus Christ.
I speak to demons and afflictions using the name of Jesus Christ…HE does the works. My Lord who dwells in me He does the works when I call his name.
If Jesus Christ were dead, no miracle would take place.
BUT Jesus Christ is alive today. He rose from the dead exactly like the Bible account said.
Jesus Christ is here today to continue his beautiful ministry….by giving his true ministers the 9 gifts of the Spirit..which are in truth, the Lord Jesus himself working through his body to continue his ministry among men.
Jesus loves people. Jesus is not in the building business. That building business didn’t work.
Jesus is in the people business.
NOTICE: If you have cancer, witchcraft curses, aids, epilepsy or seizures or other afflictions, go to my web site and order the booklets.
YOU MUST READ the instructions first…WHY???
BECAUSE of just the kind of blasphemy that caused this reaction. Hollywood, TV and the media and false teachers and religions have killed peoples faith. Jesus works only by faith.
AND faith comes only by heaing the WORD OF GOD.
READ the booklets and you may be healed while reading. Many people are. BUT you MUST have the instructions.
Then call the toll-free phone number to arrange for ministry.
NOTE: THERE is no charge for ministry or prayer.
Transporation and travel expense is the only charge.
I do not accept money for prayer or ministry to the sick or suffering. I refuse money every time when offered.
Order the books. Instructions never before offered in print.
My books have been mailed to the Surgeon General and also the Pope in Rome, Italy.
Order the books today. THEY are simple to understand and short and filled with scripture from the Bible to build your faith and get you ready for healing.
NOTE: It is too late for America. She has crossed her Rubicon. Work while it is day for the night is coming. Jesus gave 12 men a life boat and said. “Boys, go out and save all you can”. NOW the tourch has passed to our generation.
If you would like to know more about this Jesus Christ, go to the web site and get in touch.
If you would like healing do the same.
IF YOU Would like Bible Teaching order the books first then let me know your request and you can be enrolled in the “fishers of men” School of the Bible.
Teaching is by a former University Professor of Old Miss and California State University.
February 25th, 2007 at 12:36 pm
rev, your “proof” is nothing of the sort. every bit of it is predicated on believing in the accuracy of the bible.
in the real world, that’s not proof.
PS - it’s too late for you. you have crossed the rubicon. don’t bother to seek help.

Leftlion, other works of antiquity, such as Josephus’ Antiquities of the Jews - Book XX corroborate the historicity of Jesus Christ’s existence. Besides, rather than personally attacking the reverend, why don’t you point out which parts of the Bible you believe to be inaccurate.

Who said atheists don’t believe Jesus existed?
I am pretty sure Jesus existed. But I, like every one
who is not a christian, believe that he was not
the son of God. I just believe that
he was deified by Paul his buddy…that is what
started it all. It is like guys recalling past
adventures with their buddies, they all turn
into big fish stories. Even, I make wine from water
all the time for me and my friends. Fortunately,
most of my friends know that it is the sugar and
yeast that I put in the water that turns it into
wine not the power of God. So when they tell
other people about me, I don’t get deified by them.

The Cameron claims are full of holes. The most obvious is that anyone during the first couple of centuries could have rigged the whole thing. Particularly the names inscribed. There have been countless attempts at disproving Christianity. If this was a court case there would be much “reasonable doubt”. With no absolute scientific proof, I am convinced that based on Jesus’s teachings and demonstrations of love neither He nor the dsiciples could have pulled off such a hox. Either He was God, Lunitic or Lyer. His teachings have changed so many lives, more than any other. I’m convinced as a student of love that Jesus is God and you can’t really prove it scientifically anyway. You have to look at His commands and you’ll discover spiritually that His claims are true.
February 26th, 2007 at 12:29 am
atheists or “students of love” you must admit beyond the doubts about cameron’s claims that easter is close enough to be rather appealing for this documentary to be out NOW!The fact that they chose this time of the year to bring up this documentary is a bit suspicious and it means a lot of disrespect to the christians. Many people think that religion is a mean of exploitation(of any kind), I think that no one should make money out of people faith which is obviously this screenshooter’s ONLY aim.You may trust in God but shall never trust in dollars!
February 26th, 2007 at 5:11 am
Firstly, who did they test the DNA’s with? If all Jesus families were dead, then the line of succession ceased. And if there were, how did they know it was really Jesus’s decendant? I find these to be onesided news. Who ever is reporting surely he will make it appear that those were from Jesus family, disregarding other details. Like , why ten coffins? Is Jesus son of Joseph means Jesus the Christ?
What about “Mary wife of Joseph mother of Jesus”? Why no inscription? How many father and son named Jesus and Joseph? How did a carpenter owned such a huge burial site as one has said? Jesus was nailed to the cross, where there marks on this Jesus found? Two coffin reads, “Mary”, why the conclusion that one was Magdalene and the other the Virgin ? I would like to see it to find out what evedence they were trying to convince Christian world.
February 26th, 2007 at 8:17 am
Christians and those of all religious faiths embarass themselves by taking their myths so seriously.
There is no way of proving a particular religious faith and asking the rest of us to believe just because you believe is an embarassment to our intellect.
February 26th, 2007 at 8:20 am
This is an old story and will not change anything. There were at least 500 witnesses to the resurrection and surely if the body was present at that time the Jews would have discovered it and that would have ended the whole story. One interesting thing that does not appear to mentioned anywhere are the signs of the crucifiction on the bones of this purported Jesus. If in fact these were his bones, there would be signs of damage where the nails where driven through his feet/ankles and perhaps through his hands. I’ll bet that Mr. Cameron will never point out this fact in his documentary.
February 26th, 2007 at 8:50 am
I don’t believe in all of this until Jesus/God stands in my house and has a shot with me i’m going to continue to not believe in any of this.I think the bible and all it’s stories were made up by people who just got bored. So if there is a god maybe he’ll come and have some firewater with me.
February 26th, 2007 at 8:53 am
When a programme comes out to dispute the Christain faith, it always raises questions among the church that people need to ask.
It is not negative to question and to challenge, as a Christian I am not threatened by this, it just gives me an opportunity to share why I believe.
James Cameron went to a lot of trouble to make this documentary, and I will pray that he meets the risen Christ, and makes another documentary about his new faith.

Around the time Jesus lived, 30 AD, fornication and
adultery were punishable by stoning…..there is no record, nor evidence of a marriage taking place between Jesus and Mary Magdalene….so if Mary were pregnant, then she would have been stoned to death. When the scribes and the pharisees caught Mary Magdalene in adultery, they were going to stone her, but Jesus stopped them. An honorable man like Jesus would have married Mary if he were the expectant father.
Come on folks…James Cameron is setting everyone up soooo HE CAN MAKE BIG BUCKS. Don’t let this atheist shake your faith. Stand united for our faith….THERE IS NO EARTHLY BODY OF JESUS……He was resurrected, body, soul and spirit.
James Cameron, I pray someone leads you to the Lord before you leave this earth.

Now all they have to do is find the graves of Zeus and Ra.
February 26th, 2007 at 10:50 am
It’s unfortunate that James Cameron hasn’t read the New Testament becausse it’s the most reliable historical reference we have for the time period in question. All historians agree that the early cult of Christianity was hated by the Jewish authorities and by the Romans. Everything this new brand of Judaism proclaimed hinged upon the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ.
To utterly destroy the credibility of the new sect would have been very easy if they had been able to find the body or the bones of Jesus. They never produced them because they couldn’t find them. To suggest that the bones were hidden that well when the family continued to use the same crypt for the burial of other family members is laughable.
Early Christianity succeeded so well because the resurrection was NEVER disproved when it very easily could have been if it had not actually happened.
February 26th, 2007 at 11:11 am
Is James Cameron musilm? If he is, then this makes perfect sense. If he’s not, then he just a guy looking to make a buck selling a movie. It’s awfully curious that this “documentary” is being introduced at the beginning of the Lenten season and before Easter. Talk about capitalizing on controversy.
No one seems to question the validity or require proof that Muhammed ascended into heaven. How about our man Buddha, is there going to be a documentary to disprove that he did not actually sit under the Bohdi tree and reach enlightenment?
For Christains and Believers alike, movies and controversy like this only serves to strengthen their faith. As Christ stated in the Beatitudes, “Blessed are you when men hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man.”

Hey people…religion is a personal choice. What James Cameron is doing is for his own personal quest - because of who he is he can make a big deal out of it. As far as Christianity is concerned, most of the people who have posted on this web-site have probably never read about the actual history of the bible, it’s writers and the many changes and misinterpretations (deliberate and accidental) made to it over the course of several thousand years. Do not assume that you know everything about your religion because someone told you. Do your own reserarch and find out for yourself. If it does not matter to you, then do not write here on this webs-site about a religion you know very little about (historically speaking). Most of you are speaking exactly how your priest, reverend, minister, mother, father, have raised you to speak. You have never actually wondered about the mystery that is religion. Why it came about. Do you ever consider talking to people who are not Christian? I truly believe that everyone will enter the promised land when they can all accept and live happily with every person on earth no matter what their race, creed or religion. Don’t you think Jesus would agree with that? I thought he was all about love - and all I see Christians doing is saying things like “I pray someone leads you to the Lord before you leave this earth” - I thought that God was the only one who could judge? All of you so called Christians don’t listen to what is being taught to you. All you hear is to believe that Christ is your saviour you will instantly go to heaven, whether or not you have sinned doesn’t really matter…as long as Jesus is in your heart. WHATEVER!!!!! LISTEN TO THE WRITINGS & TEACHINGS PEOPLE. The point of EVERY religion is to love and “do unto others as you would have them do unto you”. I guess I never got to the part of the bible where it says that if you believe in Christ you must make everyone else believe as well. Christianity is a baby compared to other religions such as Judaism (hey Christians…read the first two chapters of the bible - Genesis and Exodus…seems to me that the true chosen children of God are the Jews). Also, you might be interested in reading up on what Constantine actually did to alter the bible and turn it toward his favor and toward the favor of the longevity of Christianity as a lasting religion. It’s true, Constantine actually created the divinity of Christ. But you won’t believe me. You’ll scoff and tell me to seek out the Lord. Maybe you shouldn’t be so afraid of the unknown. READ. RESEARCH. Find out what it is about your faith that makes it so seemingly strong. It’s the unknown. The unknown, the feared is what has gotten this world into every bit of trouble it’s ever seen. Do not FEAR….LOVE instead. The world would be a better place don’t you think if we all stopped arguing about the validity of the foundations of each religion. WHO GIVES A HOOT? What matters is right now. Nobody knows what happens when you die. Not even Jesus - if you believe he was divine then he could not possibly know death from the point of view of a mortal and if he was not divine then he died and did not rise. So everyone, stop preaching (like me
and start loving!!! Oh yeah, that reminds me, if Jesus and Mary are such common names (as some of you are noting - refuting the validity of James Cameron’s claim) how can there be no record of a Jesus marrying a Mary? Silly. Of course Jesus married Mary. Men of that time married and had families. But then again, none of us were there to witness that. In fact, none of the writers of the New Testament were there to witness Jesus in life. The books of the New Testament were written several decades and/or centuries after the death of Jesus. All I’m saying is that the bible is a collection of writings that were selected by a particular group of people. These people saw the need for social structure and guidelines and they felt that these chosen books illustrated the best moral guidelines for the people. I’m rambling now…gotta stop. I could go on all day. Bottom line…LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! (Hey, maybe John Lennon was the second coming of Jesus and nobody really noticed!!)
February 26th, 2007 at 1:30 pm
The Jews are the chosen people of God but the whole bible reveals that there is a new covenant… and it doesn’t matter if you’re a Jew or gentile. We are all God’s children. I’m not here to scoff at Bwildrd. In fact he is correct in that we should LOVE… it’s the same message Jesus brought. God is the only one to judge. It’s true that there are many christians who give christianity a bad name… christians who force their beliefs to other and shun them if they don’t believe. Where is the love in that??
But we have to remember that love is not just that happy feeling you get when you do a nice thing for somebody, or holding hands with a boyfriend or girlfriend. Love selflessness. If we were to truely love one another, we would always put others needs in front of yours.
There is no love in selfishness. True love is self-sacrificing.
So for the christians who scoff and judge people who do not believe that Jesus is God, think about the root of your motive… is it love? But we cannot in return judge them because they are also only human. None of us is perfect.
About the New Testament:
The Gospel of Matthew, written by Apostle Matthew, son of Alphaeus.
The Gospel of Mark, written by Mark the Evangelist, who wrote down the recollections of the Apostle Simon Peter.
The Gospel of Luke, written by Luke, a physician and companion of Paul of Tarsus.
The Gospel of John, written by Apostle John, son of Zebedee.
…all friends of Jesus. I believe most (if not all) of the books of the New Testament were written by someone Jesus knew personally. You can confirm that one your own.
I just want to add one more thing… if you came across a restaurant and ended up having the most delicious meal, and the manager pays for your meal everytime you go, would you want to tell everyone you know about this place? Definitely would be good news to everyone.
The wonderful thing is that we ALL can go to this restaurant anytime and it’s always on the house. There is NO DISCRIMINATION. James Cameron wants to prove that this restaurant doesn’t exist, but we’re already eating there.
February 26th, 2007 at 1:31 pm
First of all James Cameron is an idot! Here are some things to consider for all of you non believers. Just have faith….please….don’t give in to the insanity of Mr. Cameron’s proclamation…Jesus helps you when you dont even know he is helping you…you just have to look past satan…satan is trying his best to change our minds that Jesus is real…and unfortunately he is doing a good job in doing so…but I know i have no credibility, not being a pastor, but i am a person of true faith…please believe…
1. Jesus was sighted on 10 separate occasions after his resurrection. In one of the occasions he was sighted by over 500 people.
2. Jesus tomb has supposedly been found before, once by the same archeologist that says this is Jesus? tomb.
3. The names Mary, Joseph and Jesus were very popular in Jesus day. Imagine going into a cemetery in Mexico and looking for name of Jesus and Mary.
4. Jesus? family could not afford the family tomb that has been discovered. They were very poor.
5. If Jesus was buried in another tomb other than Joseph of Armeous, then his enemies would have told everyone to disprove that Jesus had risen.
6. The Bible says Jesus rose and the Bible has been proven to be historically correct and all of the prophecies of the Bible have come true that have been predicted up to this date.
7. I know Jesus rose from the dead because I know what he has personally done in my life.
Jesus loves you so much…and all he wants is for you to believe in him and love him back…God Bless all of you…

Unfortunately there should be not evidence of broken bones, as John 19:35-37 says not a bone will be broken. Maybe this is besides the point?
February 26th, 2007 at 2:27 pm
the fact that this much fuss is still made over a single man’s life, who lived over 2000 YEARS ago, proves alone the validity of who he says he is. through his spirit he is real and alive today. he is powerful and works even through those who refuse to acknowledge his name and recognize him for who he really is. the son of God. the creator of the universe and all that resides in it. if that makes you feel threatened i am sorry. but Jesus came speaking the truth, not watered-down, feel good, relics that we can twist and distort to fit our own lives so that we never have to change or move outside of our “comfortable” little words and realize we are not perfect and everything is not okay. that would bring up subjects and feelings we like to tuck away in our sock drawers, like guilt and anger and obsession and addiction. it would take away the validity of our excuses. after all its much easier to find the religion or life style that fits you…not vica versa. and it’s alot easier to judge than to be judged. all fall short of the glory of God. now we want to condemn and disprove the validity of the ONE MAN who came to save us from ourselves?? dont worry. he loves you still. even if you hate and detest his name….he loves you still. all will bow before him on that day of judgement. even you. YOU will bow and ask mercy and forgiveness from your savior and it will be given accordingly in a just and righteous manner. hold me to that. hold me to it.
February 26th, 2007 at 3:04 pm
Amazing, simply amazing. Its not enough that we all had to bear through the DaVinci code, but now James Cameron has to go and do this. This has been going on since Jesus was born. People didnt want to believe he was the Christ then and they still dont today.
The problem is this, John Chapter 3 vs 19-20 “This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.”
People do not want their sin to be exposed and then to face the reality of a coming judgement. They want to continue to live in sin and not be bothered by the freedom that Christ brings to each one of us. And you can say I dont believe in this Jesus and I dont believe that there will be a judgement, but you can also say that you dont believe in Mac Trucks and then run out onto the highway and get run over by one.
Its also quite amazing that people like James Cameron, dont have the guts to tackle Islam, lest he be in hiding and hunted down like Salman Rushdie, and test the claims that muhammad ascended into heaven, or that there was a buddah and that he “found” Nirvana. Why doesnt anybody talk about that and make movies about them, discrediting these “stories”.
Its a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God on the Day of Judgement. Millions thougt that Noah was crazy when he preached the coming judgement and the same goes on today.
Whether your Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, Mormon, Jehova’s Witness or even a “Christian”, put your faith in Jesus, REPENT of your sin, Confess Jesus is Lord and then Be Baptized. For the Scriptures plainly teach that He died, was buried and rose from the grave on the third day. That He bruised and wounded for our sins and that He was crucified and died in our place for a debt we could never pay back. Has buddah, or muhhamed or joseph smith ever done that for you? Never, and they wont and they cant.
As for James Cameron and others like him, pray for him brothers and sisters. We were all like that too at one time and where would we be if we werent prayed for.

I wouldn’t pay too much attention to Rev. Bufkin’s words. At first glance at his website, it would appear that he’s little more than a snake-oil salesman. I could be wrong, but I’m probably not.

Shh! Don’t tell the white house!
This is a good thing for christians. Now the world can see ourselves as all children of god and not that some mystical immacualte conception story. I’d rather Jesus was a buddy- the next door neighbor who got messed up with a “working girl” that just happened to notice (through years of philosophical study) that we are blessed to be here and to be thankful and take care of each other and the land that supports us.
I hope this doesn’t mess up Dobbs, Reed, and Falwell’s plan to take over the world in the new world order. This reaks of 2012! Yipee!

The only thing that makes Christians (and I mean saved Christians) know why this story is so fake is the presence of the Holy Spirit in their lives. The power is so strong. That is what makes all the difference. All the wisdom of this world is For everyone else the Bible is just a book, and stories and myths go on for ever. Satan is fighting Jesus with everything he has. If Jesus wasnt who He is, nobody would care today, and everyone would believe anything they wanted. But look how much they try to deny Him, even today. The glory of Jesus will soon be revealed and then eternal punishment will cover most of the population of the earth. Atheism is a waste of time and waiste of a soul. No hope in anything. A life waiting to expire. Jesus gave us hope. He gave us a future. I life that will go on for ever and ever and ever. He showed us the way. He died in such a horrible way. He was tortured, whipped, humiliated, and still people hate Him, coz satan wants them to. How do you people sleep calmly at night. Dont you know that when your life expires, you will face God and His wrath even if you dont believe it. The wisdom of a saved Christian is folly to the rest of the world, but the wisdom of this world is folly to God

This is just another attempt made by Jews to belittle Christianity. Why don?t they make a movie about the $17,000,000 the US spends each day for foreign aid to Israel while homelessness in this country runs rampant?

First, I find it quite interesting that Cameron did not test the DNA from the other Mary Ostuary to determine if it was related to the one purportedly for Jesus and therefore, would provide evidence that that Mary of was the mother of Jesus. Perhaps they did this testing but didn’t disclose it because it was negative. Moreover, where are the bones? I understand they were subsequently buried. If they had been of significance they should have been exhumed and examined, especially the ones purportedly from Jesus, since these presumably would show signs from the crucifixion, i.e, the nails driven through the feet/ankles and wrists. I think Mr. Cameron’s analysis is decidely poor.

The thing about the Resurrection, along with any other miracle, is that it was only good for the time that it occurred. It is hard to make a case for anything (like healing, resurrection from the dead, blind seeing) once too much time has passed. Even after 20 years.
This is why prophesy is great. You can substantiate when something was written and triangulate the actual occurrence after the fact. Do an extensive study of Old Testament and New Testament prophesies and you will be amazed (prophecies like: increase of knowledge in the end times, rise and fall of countries, the predictions regarding the death and resurrection of the messiah, etc.).
There is OVERWHELMING evidence of the historicity of the Bible. We have the testimony of those very close to Jesus, who gave their lives - which is impossible if Jesus was using them to help him cover up the Resurrection.
There are miracles today of people coming back from the dead, the blind seeing, etc., even for non-Christian faiths… so a “resurrection” is not far fetched.
Why is everyone so quick to listen to James Cameron? Mr. Cameron made a movie about the Da Vinci Code, a book Dan Brown wrote - plagiarizing some Frenchman who later admitted the whole thing was a prank. I LEARNED THAT ON THE DISCOVERY CHANNEL… FUNNY THEY DISCOVERY CHANNEL WOULD AIR THIS??
Jesus:
Turn me around
Pick me up
Undue what I’ve become
Take me back to the place of forgiveness and grace
I need You.. need your help
I can’t do this myself
Your the only one who can
Undue what I’ve become
(This is the miracle they can?t take away)

The Jews hated Jesus, they don’t believe he was the Christ. So then it will be easy for them to disprove the resurection. How? By pointing the Crypt! All those buried, ten of them, did they all die at the same day? I don’t think so. It could be years apart. By then the Pharesees already knew were Jesus was buried. When a family member dies, they will open the Crypt, put the dead in and close it again. Everybody will know it’s Jesus the Christ’s family Crypt. When the word was out that Jesus has resurected, why no Jews came out and said “He has not! Here is his body!” or “I know where his tomb is”. Not even a word from the Romans who was guarding his tomb.

First of all, for those who believe that Jesus does not exist (present tense, for He is the LIVING God); or that Christianity is built on the lie of the resurrection of Christ, THOU PROTESTETH TOO MUCH. If you don’t believe, leave it alone and go try to debunk and de-mystify the Loch Ness monster or Sasquatch.
I am a believer–because I KNOW what happened to me when I ran smack-dab into the saving grace of Jesus Christ. It was a supernatural encounter that INSTANTLY transformed me from a life of sin and trying to justify my hellish life into a life filled with grace and mercy by the redemptive power of a risen Christ. He lives. It is as simple as that to me and the millions of others whose lives He has changed.

1) The scientific evidence for this discovery is compelling. The ossuaries were NOT tampered with—they have been in the hands of archaeologists and were never traded on the black market. The “James, son of Joseph, brother of Jesus” ossuary has the same chemical stamp as the ossuaries from the Talpiot tomb. Statisticians have calculated the chances of another family tomb containing people named Mary, Jesus, Mariamne (Magdalene), James, Joses and Judah son of Jesus as being extremely remote.
2) From Monday’s press conference, it seems that the other ossuaries contained human remains, but that these have been more difficult to test than those from the “Jesus” and “Mariamne” ossuaries.
3) The difference that belief in Jesus has made in someone’s life is evidence only of the power of belief, not the divinity of Jesus. Ancient cultures operated on the principle that the sun was a god—they drew strength and hope from their emotional relationship with a star. Human beings are virtuosos of self-delusion.
4) Cameron can’t, and won’t, be able to prove anything. But he has made a strong case that bears further investigation.

The notion that faith is a delusion because it differs from man to man is as nonsensical as believing that color is a delusion because some are blind to it.
Cameron is entitled to his belief, or lack thereof, without being ridiculed for it, but these shouldn’t be confused with fact or his method with the scientific. The only case he has made is that men differ on the nature or existence of God and so they search one way or another to support their hopes or prejudices.

There will be many people who will try to discredit God, His Son Jesus, and curse the Holy Spirit, and these who do so will die in their sins. Satan is a liar and the father of lies and those who believe him will suffer damnation for all eternity. You are an ungodly and perverse generation, and you will suffer for your unbelief. So sad people. You rather believe the lie instead of the Truth.

My comments are not meant to prove or disprove the existence of God/Jesus/Universal Being or what have you or any of the religious groups. I am not an atheist but I do beleive that organized relious groups are designed to quell the masses in other words prevent anarchy. Organized religion does offer some good things to society such as discipline and guidance. Why does everyone continue to waste their lives trying to prove one point over another? It kindof reminds me of the wild animals butting heads together or some angry gorrilas duking it out. Maybe someone needs to mind their own business. Maybe some ppl need to keep their mouths shut, if they did then maybe we wouldn’t have muslim extremist groups trying to destroy us. The ten commandments found in the old testament were guidelines for societal law, does anyone realize that there are actually over 600 other laws in the bible that were meant to be followed in that day, but the American legal system was built from the ten commandments and then ammended later on to include other laws/rights, sound familiar ppl??
As far as Organized religion goes, I kindof get the feeling like its the stock market only we humans are the stock being traded around to different belief systems. And I don’t think business is good either, I mean its evolving to market more followers because they need money to run, but they have way too much overhead. Logically it just doesn’t make sense. Usually, when I go to church, which is a rarity in itself, I feel like I am being scammed out of money but then I realize I don’t have to donate my money to this church so I don’t and guess what, I think its funny also.
Alot of ppl may think I am lost or whatever and I say its not your place to judge. You see, I think that some ppl become so wrapped up in this stuff that subconciously they think that since they are part of God then they can judge others. I am here to tell you that this is wrong ppl. This is not your place. You are the same as every other person on this planet when it comes to spirituality. Some of you might have better skills and abilities than others but that doesnt make you a better person than another or everyone else as some place themselves on a pedestal so high that no one can ever acheive according to their egos, thats called being personist. I’m not lost though, I could never be more found and clear in my connection with Him.
You all just don’t have anything better to do, well, I say, clear your connection, don’t get stuck in your pictures, progress in your spirituality but dont berate others for looking for the same place but coming from a different direction. True peace lies within you, all of you. And only you can find what it is you are searching for. Know yourselves and know those around you but dont ignore someone because of something it is that they do. This could only create a more weaker ppl because we are a community of beings on a planet so far the only known intelligent self conciously aware beings in existence. And have fun with it, its what you make of it that counts. Your imagination plays an important role in how your life shapes out. Its more important than anything in your life. Use it to your advantage, and keep your dreams and hopes and prayers alive, the universe has an uncanny way of unfolding around you. Live, Love and Learn.
