Apparently, there’s going to be a big global warming rally in Washington, D.C. tomorrow:
Environmentalists, members of Congress and the mayor of an Alaskan village threatened by rising seas will be among the speakers at a rally tomorrow at the U.S. Capitol aimed at reducing the causes of climate change.
Organizers have said that thousands will attend what they call Climate Crisis Action Day, which would make it the largest demonstration held in Washington on the subject of warming global temperatures. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on a stage at the Capitol’s west front.
“What we want people to know is that there is this mountain of evidence [for] global warming, and there are people who are seeing its effects from across the country,” said Becky Wynne, a spokeswoman for the Alaska Wilderness League, a Washington-based group that is helping to organize the event. “It is time for this legislature to take the steps to curb global warming.”
Specifically, Wynne said, the groups want Congress to pass legislation that would drastically reduce U.S. emissions of greenhouse gases and another measure that would prevent oil exploration in Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
I just wonder if the participants in the rally are aware of how many greenhouse gases they will be expending in their travels to the Nation’s Capital. Unless, of course, they’re all walking here……..

Not to mention the fact that just by breathing they are converting perfectly good oxygen into earth warming CO2.
Maybe if we get rid of all the “greenies” we can cut enough CO2 emmissions to cause another ice age

If you know a global greenhouse gas greenie, have some sympathy and try to get that ill-informed soul to watch this video, http://citizentom.com/2007/03/16/global-warming-documentary/.

Need two answers to recent questions RE global warming. The recent BBC video states that the temperature rise has been leading the CO2 rise by 800 years. Yes or no? The human contribution to greehouse gasses, mostly CO2, has been 0.43 to 0.49 percent of the total released per year: an increase/decrease in this minute amount means what?
