Tainted Pet Food = Poison ?

by @ 4:23 pm on March 23, 2007.

According to this report from the New York Times, the tainted pet food linked to the death of 14 pets was tainted with rat poison:

A toxic chemical used in some countries as a rat poison has been found in tainted pet food that has been linked to the deaths of at least 14 pets, the New York State Departmention Agriculture announced today.

The chemical, identified in samples of pet food tested at Cornell University, is aminopterin, a derivative of folic acid, the department said. The substance is not approved for use in the United States.

?We are pleased that the expertise of the New York State Food Laboratory was able to contribute the identifying agent that caused numerous illnesses and deaths in dogs and cats across the nation,? the state agriculture commissioner, Patrick Hooker, said in a statement.

Spokeswomen for the department and the university would not comment on how aminopterin may have gotten into the pet food.

And that, right now, is the $ 64,000 question. Did this substance get into the wheat gluten that has been identified as the source of the problem because of some sort of industrial accident, or was it put there deliberately. If it’s the second option then that would mean that someone was poison pet food with the intent of killing people’s pets.

Pretty sick if you ask me.

I’ve considered the possibility that it was a deliberate act, and I have to tell you, there is only one suspect that comes to mind: PETA and their allies

Pet owners across Canada and the United States are worried that they’ve been feeding their dogs and cats poisoned food. Today, that poison, aminopterin, has been blamed for over a dozen animal deaths, and more are likely to be blamed on the contamina…

China was known for killing people?s pet dogs a few months ago cause of rabies outbreaks and wanting to kill all the dogs, hmmm wonder if that has to do with the wheat gluten coming from China??? Seems to be awful concidental huh?

The substance in the pet food is MELAMINE. This is a plastic which contains cyanide. For more info on this, go here:(http://www.emedicine.com/EMERG/topic118.htm )

To make your own homecooked foods for pets, remember that they need nutrients other than what is found in tablescraps. I am making salmon for my felines….also add fresh bee pollen, and soak chia seeds in the juice. Also adding food grade kelp.

For dog food, brown rice and chicken or chicken livers, or hamburger. Remember that meat or beans should be accompanied by rice so that it is a complete protein and these items must be consumed at the same time.

Laura, your comments are racially motivated. I love to eat dogs. It isn’t economical for China to kill all of these dogs. We would rather eat them.

If you have a dog that you are willing to give away, please email me (wong.howard at ic.gc.ca).
