Jericho Renewed ?

Syfy Portal is reporting that CBS will be renewing Jericho for a second season.

A source tells SyFy Portal that CBS is expected to pick up “Jericho” for a second season, although it may move to a new night when fall rolls around. The show has had a tough time against competition such as “American Idol” on Fox this spring after its return, but the network has shown nothing but promise for the show, giving it a full season order when some thought it might be heading to the big one-season place in the sky.

If true, this is good. I’ve been a fan of the show since it premiered in the fall and it has gotten alot better since it came back from hiatus in February. Expecially after last week’s episode (mucho spoilers if you haven’t seen it) when we finally learned who was behind the attacks, although not why the attacks happened, and what Hawkins’ story is.

Doug, one of these days, we’ve got together for a beer, because we clearly enjoy the same mindless entertainment… er, TV shows.
