Below The Beltway

I believe in the free speech that liberals used to believe in, the economic freedom that conservatives used to believe in, and the personal freedom that America used to believe in.

The Old Dominion’s Newest Resident ?

by @ 11:19 am on July 5, 2007.

Apparently, Michael Jackson a/k/a The King of Weird is moving to Virginia:

Michael Jackson is moving to … Los Angeles? Europe? The moon?

None of the above. Jackson is evidently on his way to a rental in Virginia.

Yes, Virginia, there is a Jacko.

(…)

Why the colony most famous for George Washington and Busch Gardens? Some have speculated that Virginia Beach has been the locale of many recording studios, including those of Teddy Riley and Timbaland.

Still, the betting money is on Bain, who works in Washington, D.C., keeping a closer eye on her main client and goose that used to lay the golden egg. Where that leaves Rwaramba is anyone’s guess after she moved into Turnberry Towers in Las Vegas.

But Virginia has an added advantage: It keeps Jackson 3,000 miles away from his concerned family. I told you last week they are ready to pounce on Bain and Rwaramba over Michael’s health and welfare.

Of course, there are also reports that Jackson is looking at houses on Maryland’s Eastern Shore:

First came Donald Rumsfeld, then Dick Cheney, and now the chic Maryland town of St Michaels might get its first “royalty” - the ‘King of Pop’ Michael Jackson.

Local media reported that Jackson helicoptered into the 17th century Chesapeake Bay-front village on Maryland’s eastern shore, where the US Vice-President and former defence secretary keep holiday getaways, to cruise the real estate market for his own digs.

Washington’s Examiner newspaper reported that he checked into the luxurious Colonial Manor House Inn at Perry Cabin, though the innkeepers were not talking.

Local WBAL television showed footage from the air of a mysterious person hiding behind white sheets as he got into a stretch limousine at the hotel.

The Washington Post said Jackson’s Washington-based publicist, Raymone Bain, confirmed the weekend visit was to “scout out some summer houses”.

Why can’t he just stay in California with the rest of the whackos ?
