The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports George Allen’s response to rumors he might run for John Warner’s Senate seat if Warner retires:
George Allen on rumors he will run for the Senate in 2008 if John Warner retires: “Not with the responsibilities I’ve taken on. They would make that impossible.”
Considering the appallingly bad campaign that Allen ran in 2006, this is probably good news for the GOP.
