France Will Never Forget. America Will Never Forget

by @ 10:35 pm on July 22, 2007.

Two nations, each of whom helped liberate the other.

Yea, we Americans make jokes about the French. And I’m sure they have plenty to say about us, but there is a shared history that cannot be denied.

It started with Lafeyette coming to the aid of the American Revolution, continued in World War I, and reached it’s epitome in the sacrifices that tens of thousands of American men made to liberate France from the clutches of the most brutal dictator Europe had ever seen.

Since then, Franco-American relations have been, at times, testy.

Which is why this video (which, but for the Internet, I never would have seen) is so cool, and appreciated
