My 39th birthday is Monday, August 6th.
To celebrate the occasion, my lovely wife, through some fabulous connections that will forever remain nameless, obtained two tickets to a New York Yankees game on Saturday, August 4th in the best seats in the house, only about four rows behind the Yankee dugout.
Yes, the same game that the Yankees won 16-8
And the same game during which Alex Rodriguez hit his 500th home run.
So, late Friday afternoon, we drove up to New Jersey and spent the night at my Dad’s house. And, this morning, we drove, yes drove, into the city for the game. This from a man who once swore he’d never drive a car in New York City again. We got about about a half hour ago.
It was a truly fabulous experience, and that’s all I’m gonna say until the pictures are up tomorrow.
