According to reports, most, if not all, of the seven episodes that CBS ordered for the once-cancelled Jericho are, as the saying goes, in the can and ready to air.
So, when might the show actually come back for a second season ?
It may depend on whether or not there is a writer’s strike on Nov. 1:
[W]ith a writers strike less than a couple weeks away, it’s likely that CBS may save “Jericho” until mid-season when scripted programs will be at much more of a premium. Plus, according to TV Guide’s Stephen Battaglio, the network may want a few weeks to promote the show’s premiere.
So you’ll have to wait a little while longer Jericho fans.

I wish so much that there were official promotion material to buy like shirts and bumperstickers. I just bought a trading card to tape to my back window with http://www.jerichorises.com on it. ITs the only promotional material on ebay. I have never seen a series on TV that can match the Raw Emotional Power, Despair, Hope, Courage, Determination and complex plot arc that draws you in deeper and deeper. I tell everyone I know about the show, I rented each disc at blockbuster for 4.50 and will buy the DVD. You simply can let it end at 7 episodes. It has so much potential and has so much more going for it then any show on fox, NBC, ABC etc. It needs at least 4 seasons. Ill buy nuts as gifts for everyone at christmas that says Watch Jericho on it. Please Please let jericho live on!!!!!!!! Sincerely, Deborah Portland Maine Voracious Fan. CBS said that if the numbers don’t improve, JERICHO is gone.
