Scariest Movie Scene Ever

I’m not much of a Halloween person, at least I haven’t been since I was a kid.

Oh, we’ll be handing out candy here at Chez Mataconis tonight, but that’s about it. No costumes, none of that other stuff for me or, as far as I’m concerned, anyone under the age of 13 or so. Someone once said to me that everyone has a lease favorite holiday and, for me, it’s this one.

But that doesn’t mean I’m not above enjoying a good scare every now and then and I can’t say I’ve seen any movie that beats this for shear terror:

    My mother is of the generation in its youth when “Psycho” was released, and she frequently comments that it was a long time before she could choose a shower over a bath after seeing it.
