This hasn’t exactly been like the Cinderella season the Scarlet Knights had last year, but it’s still been pretty good and, today, Rutgers beat Pittsburgh 20-16:

Devin McCourty intercepted a Pat Bostick pass in the end zone to clinch a 20-16 victory against Pittsburgh, fighting off a late drive that got within six yards of a touchdown.

Pittsburgh’s Oderick Turner drew an offensive pass interference on a second-and-goal when he shoved McCourty in the corner of the end zone on what would’ve been the go-ahead score.

Ray Rice finished with 112 yards on 26 carries on a day when neither offense could put together a lengthy drive. Kenny Britt caught a 53-yard touchdown pass for the Scarlet Knights, who improved to 7-4 on the season and clinched a bowl appearance.

One rumored destination, the Sun Bowl on December 31st.
