Is NBC Bailing On Journeyman ?

by @ 5:30 pm on November 24, 2007. Filed under Television

One of my few favorite shows of the new television season has been Journeyman, the basic plot of which can be described as follows:

The series centers around Dan Vasser, a normal man who, for an unknown reason, begins jumping backwards in time. He soon learns that each series of jumps follows the life of a person whose destiny he seems meant to change. Dan’s jumping affects his family life with his wife and son, his job as a reporter, and instills suspicion in his brother, a police detective. While in the past, Dan reconnects with his ex-fiancée, whom he believed was killed in a plane crash, but is actually a traveler like him.

Yea, I know it sounds slightly cheesy and more than a little reminiscent of Quantum Leap, but there’s been something about the show that’s kept me coming back every week since the premiere.

Now, it looks like NBC is about to bail on the series:

More troubling news for “Journeyman” fans!

Series mastermind Kevin Falls says, much to his sorrow, it looks like NBC may not air the 12th and final “Journeyman” completed before the writers’ strike.

Crap.

I agree with you. The show is actually pretty good and I would hate for them to not air all of the episodes that are already done.
