CBS News is running a series on the Evening News, but they’re leaving out the candidate whose raised the most money this quarter:
(CBS) This week the CBS Evening News With Katie Couric will begin a new political series that poses the same 10 questions to each of the leading candidates in a series of one-on-one, in-depth interviews.
A preview for the “Primary Questions: Character, Leadership & the Candidates,” will be on Tuesday, Dec. 4, on the CBS Evening News With Katie Couric. The series begins on Wednesday, Dec. 5.
Couric speaks to Sen. Barack Obama, D- Ill., Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., former Sen. John Edwards, D- N.C., Gov. Bill Richardson, D-N.M., Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., former Gov. Mitt Romney, R-Mass., former Mayor Rudy Giuliani, R-N.Y., former Gov. Mike Huckabee, R-Ark., and former Sen. Fred Thompson, R-Tenn.
Considering that it’s CBS News and nobody will be watching, I suppose it doesn’t matter, especially when you look at the inane questions that the perky Ms. Couric will be asking:
In addition to policy and issue questions, the candidates are asked questions intended to give some insight into their character-something polls have frequently shown as being more important to voters than agreeing with the candidate on issues.
Some questions include:
# When was the last time you lost your temper - and what came of it?
# What’s the biggest mistake you’ve ever made - how did you recognize it-and what did you do to change course?
# What’s the worst piece of advice you’ve ever given another person?
# Harry Truman said, “A man not honorable in his marital relations is not usually honorable in any other” and many people say they don’t feel comfortable supporting someone who has not remained faithful to his or her spouse-can you understand their position?
I will admit I’d love to hear Rudy’s answer to that last one.

Paul is down a couple points in some of the latest state-by-states, even in his stronghold of NH. Could be a sign he’s peaked?
Of course, you won’t see anyone in the heavily biased libertarian media reporting on this, including the Paul boosters at Liberty Papers.

Reason: Your former staffer Eric Dondero is challenging you for your House seat in 2008.
Paul: He’s a disgruntled former employee who was fired.
hows your campaign going eric? i hear it peaked the day you announced

My understand is that Eric withdrew months ago.

My gosh, Li Chao, old news. As I said back in June, I’d only run if no other Republican stepped forward. Someone did. Chris Peden, a Friendswood City Councilman. Chris is a fantastic candidate, and he’s quite libertarian, mainstream libertarian that is, not kooky fringe Anarchist leftwinger libertarian like Ron Paul.
It’d be really funny if Ron Paul bombs in his Presidential bid, dropping out after Feb. 5 with no delegates, than gets beat in his GOP primary for Congress.
Wonder what the Paul people will say then?

Ron Paul’s people will say that the People of the United States CHOSE to not live by the Constitution.

“…that is, not kooky fringe Anarchist leftwinger libertarian like Ron Paul.”
Sounds like right-wing rhetoric coming out of your mouth. Stop listening so much to Limbaugh.
And don’t be so bitter you were fired. If he’s such a kook, why did you work for him in the first place? You must have believed all that “kookiness”.
It’s sad you want to see him lose, considering he is America’s best hope for straightening out most of our issues. Trust me, if Giuliani of Clinton win, you’ll be lamenting his loss.
