Apparently, some people are going to ride Metro tomorrow……without pants:
WASHINGTON — Some Metro riders might be missing something this weekend — their pants.
A group of people who have organized on the social Web site Facebook are planning to take what they’re calling a “no pants ride” on the rails on Saturday. So far, about 200 people said they are planning to participate.
Metro spokeswoman Lisa Farbstein said transit police have been alerted about the stunt. While there is no law against riding Metro in your underwear, she said police will look out for indecent exposure and disorderly conduct.
Farbstein also has another message for would-be participants: “What would your grandmother think?”
No reason has been given for the stunt, which is to begin at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Dupont Circle station.
Perhaps they’re seeking to commemorate “No Pants Tuesdays”, made famous during the Clinton Administration.
