What The Ron Paul Newsletters Story Is Really All About

by @ 3:26 pm on January 13, 2008.

From yours truly in a comment to this post at The Liberty Papers:

Let me be blunt

It should be blindingly obvious by now that Ron Paul is not going to be President. He’s not going to win a single state primary, and the two delegates he got out of Iowa may be just about all he has at the convention. He won’t have a prime-time speaking slot either.

The question now isn’t selecting a President, it’s what happens to the cause for liberty after Ron Paul.

The best thing that could happen for liberty would be for the entire Paleo-libertarian Rockwell crowd to be discredited by all of this.

What’s wrong with Lew Rockwell? And I know Paul won’t win, but I can’t find any other candidate that even comes close.

    David,

It’s a long story, but basically Rockwell isn’t a libertarian.

I got a slightly liberal slant from his site, and he seems to be a little too jazzed about Paul. I still look up to the liberty papers though. You kind of got me started in blogging.
