Why does this not surprise me?
I have it on good authority from a commenter on our blog that the “word of God” is what he, the commenter, says it is (i.e., the parts of the Judeo-Christian canon {the NIV version, specifically} that he finds particularly compelling). This is “Truth.” Anything other than that is merely my “opinion,” with which he “disagrees.” But – and this is very important, so pay attention – his disagreement is not, not his opinion.
