You’ve got to hand it to Mike Huckabee, he’ll go anywhere to troll for votes, even the Cayman Islands:
On the charter flight from Little Rock to somewhere in Wisconsin, Chip Saltsman, Huckabee campaign manager came back to the press section and informed us that Huckabee will leave Wisconsin Friday, and head to the Cayman Islands to give a paid speech, booked several months ago.
Fox News has found out that it will be at the Young Caymanian Leadership Awards banquet in Grand Cayman, where Huckabee spoke several years ago. Huckabee will be there Friday night through Sunday morning and be back in Wisconsin Sunday evening to campaign through Tuesday when they hold their primary.
Of course, this doesn’t mean Tax Hike Mike is giving up:
” We’re not giving up.He hasn’t had 2 days off in a row in over a year…we are coming right back on the trail on Sunday night.” Saltsman said Huckabee simply needed the paycheck. ” This is the man’s job, his livelihood. These speeches and books that he sells… are how he makes his living. Everyone else running has the taxpayers paying their salary, he doesn’t. If he does not do this, from time to time, he can’t pay his mortgage.”

Huckabee will be camapigning Friday and retuirning to campaign on Sunday In Wisconsin. McCain has had many events scheduled in Wisconsin?
Needless to say Huckabee is not going to be chilling on the beach the entire weekend
