Yesterday, Gerry Connolly officially entered the race for Virginia’s 11th District:
Fairfax County Chairman Gerald E. “Gerry” Connolly, D-at large, took the Bush administration to task over global warming, the economy, the war in Iraq, Hurricane Katrina, No Child Left Behind and health care when he announced his candidacy for the 11th congressional district Thursday night in Occoquan.
Connolly said if he is elected to the seat being vacated at the retirement of Republican Rep. Tom Davis, he would do better on all of those things.
Before he gets there, though, he has to get past Leslie Byrne.
