Lunar Eclipse Photoblogging

At the beginning of the evening, it looked like we wouldn’t be able to see the eclipse here in Northern Virginia thanks to cloud cover but, about 7pm, the clouds started to clear and we ended up with a crystal clear sky. Perfect eclipse conditions.  Not all my pictures turned out well, but a few did, and I’ll always have the memory of seeing the moon turn red.

    Kellie and I were texting as you were taking pictures. Every so often I’d look out a door in the living room to see the changes. It was clear and cold in upstate NY so the view was terrific. Neat stuff!
