An Endorsement Barack Obama Should Repudiate Immediately

by @ 12:05 pm on February 25, 2008.

Back in October, when the neo-Nazis at Stormfront and David Duke began hitching their wagon to the Ron Paul for President campaign, I argued that it was incumbent upon Paul to repudiate the endorsement of these avowed racists if he was true to his principles.

He didn’t. And that was one of the reasons I declined to either support or vote for him.

Now, Barack Obama has received the endorsement of an equally offensive person:

CHICAGO (AP) — In his first major public address since a cancer crisis, Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan said Sunday that presidential candidate Barack Obama is the ”hope of the entire world” that the U.S. will change for the better.

The 74-year-old Farrakhan, addressing an estimated crowd of 20,000 people at the annual Saviours’ Day celebration, never outrightly endorsed Obama but spent most of the nearly two-hour speech praising the Illinois senator.

”This young man is the hope of the entire world that America will change and be made better,” he said. ”This young man is capturing audiences of black and brown and red and yellow. If you look at Barack Obama’s audiences and look at the effect of his words, those people are being transformed.”

Farrakhan compared Obama to the religion’s founder, Fard Muhammad, who also had a white mother and black father.

”A black man with a white mother became a savior to us,” he told the crowd of mostly followers. ”A black man with a white mother could turn out to be one who can lift America from her fall.”

Louis Farrakhan is as much of a racist as the Stormfronters and David Duke.

Senator Obama, if you’re consistent with your principles you will state publicly you want nothing to do with Louis Farrakhan.

[...] Ron Paul with Stormfront, and Barack Obama with Calypso Louis, John McCain clearly ought to repudiate this [...]

Why should Obama repudiate Louis Farrakhan. It really doesn’t matter if he is for him or not, but why should he upset voters from that group. I wouldn’t. Why can’t people love each other for who they are and not for color or religion they are in. People please get along and stop hating one another. I, too, believe that Obama will make a good president for the United States because he is for all color, religion and race. Why should it be white or black or always a certain religion. All true religions state peace and good, but it is the fundamentalists and the thieves that use religion to astray people (specially people who don’t think for themselves)Why allow church leaders to decide for us, God has given us a brain and therefore, we should think and use logic reasoning. Everyone can be good. If you don’t do bad, bad will not be received. Grow up everyone for once. We are all God’s children and no religion is better than the other.
