As I noted last month, there are more than a few similarities between this year’s Presidential election and the final season of The West Wing, particularly in the character of Matt Santos and the candidate Barack Obama.
Apparently, that’s not a mistake only, surprisingly, it’s reality that inspired fiction and not the other way around:
