WASHINGTON — Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s hopes of ending the primaries with game-changing victories from new contests in Florida and Michigan grew dim on Tuesday as Florida officially scuttled plans for a new vote and Michigan lawmakers appeared far from a deal.
In a sign of how badly she thinks she needs the Michigan delegates to catch the Democratic front-runner, Senator Barack Obama, Mrs. Clinton made a last-minute schedule change and planned to fly to Detroit on Wednesday to plead with Michigan lawmakers to approve a new primary election in June to replace the January contest that awarded no delegates.
“We will go and make the case for a revote,” said Mo Elleithee, a spokesman for Mrs. Clinton.
Mr. Obama’s campaign has resisted a new contest, saying that Michigan Democrats are divided, that a revote would not make much difference in the overall delegate count and that the Clinton camp was trying to change the rules to suit itself.
The Michigan Legislature, which would vote on approving a new election, is deeply torn on it because of cost, legal questions and logistical difficulties.
At this point, it seems that chances of a re-vote are slim. Michigan’s legislature has mere days to act before going on recess and the impasse appears unsolvable.

After he went on MSNBC,, he went on FOX CNN ABC< all the news station saying he was never there,,, in his church when he said these things,,
But Now today during his speech,,He states flat out Say’s HE was there,,, Last week Barack Obama Lied,, went on all the news stations, and Lied,,
But your not reporting that,,,, You can rest assure,,, cnn ,,, Fox , ABC,,, Msnbc,, are getting more on this ,,, they will be reporting on this, and we will see
If you chose to report, Obama Lying on tv,,, If this was Hilary clinton lying and caught lying on all the new station,,, you can be sure,, you would talk about it every hour

On to the actually topic of Doug’s post, I think this shows real desperation by the Clinton campaign because a revote in Michigan would most likely result in a fairly even split of delegates, and Obama has a reasonable chance of winning the state. Still I guess with Florida out, her people are grasping at straws.

Republicans put Hillary over the top with 9% of their vote in Texas after Rush Limbaugh urged them to prolong and weaken Democrats with his “operation Chaos”. Hillary knows this but she continues to divide and cripple her own party.
