Ron Paul And General Petraeus

by @ 10:06 am on April 10, 2008. Filed under 2008 Election, Politics, Ron Paul

Ron Paul questioning General Petraeus during yesterday’s House Committee hearing:

Here’s the problem. Well, there are a few problems.

First, he speaks for three minutes about policy issues that are not within the purview of either General Petraeus or Ambassador Crocker before even asking a question. Second, he asks a question that has nothing to do with the subject of the hearing. Third, as a military officer, it’s inappropriate for Petraeus to even answer the question(s) that he was asked.

I’ve to to admit that have no idea what the good Congressman thought he was accomplishing there. He does know the election’s over, right ?

Lots of senators used their time to basically give a speech. One from georgia did, and lindsay grahmn basically pushed talking points.

    Nothing strange in that.

he did cut to the point that petraeus is pushing the bush talking points of iran without any real proof that it’s a bad thing.

I agree… I’ve been watching the hearings – it’s the Congressman’s opportunity to make a statement or speech. I think he just wanted to bring to light the fact that General Petraeus has been pushing the issue of Iran involvement, which provides the Bush Administration with the justification it needs to start another war. Is Iran involvement necessarily a bad thing? I do not entirely agree that it would have been inappropriate for him to answer – isn’t it the military soldiers’ duty to support and defend the Constitution? It’s a simple question from this point of view.

“Ive to to admit that have no idea what the good Congressman thought he was accomplishing there.” At least you admit it. Now take a remedial grammar class.

“He does know the election’s over, right? ” LOL! Gee I hope not. The election has not even started. Ron Paul is one of four people still in the race. Are we supposed to take your comments seriously? Oh and once again, check your grammar. “the election’s over” is not correct grammar.

  4. Dotty,

Gee thanks for the grammar lesson.

    Not.

Ron Paul is not going to be the Republican nominee, he’s not going to be President, and he’s not even going to speak at the GOP Convention.

It’s time the Paultards lived up to each of those facts and moved on with life.
