I think I’ve held my own quite nicely, if I must say.
I believe in the free speech that liberals used to believe in, the economic freedom that conservatives used to believe in, and the personal freedom that America used to believe in.

Sorry Doug, but to borrow some internet speak, James is pwning you right now. I’m reading your last couple posts and recognize that he has the upper edge. You haven’t been able to address some of his concerns while he has hit back at all of your points.
Bringing attention to this does not help your case.

What concerns ? That I don’t bow down to the authority of “the state” and “tradition” and “history” ?
Frankly, the hell with tradition and history.
And the state exist to protect me, not regulate my life.
