Baker, incidentally, is someone who John McCain has said was one of the “smartest” men he knew and that he was likely to ask Baker to serve as a diplomatic envoy to the Middle East.

The Bush administration leapfrogged appeasement and cut right to empowerment…of U.S. and Israeli enemies. Iran, Hamas, Hezbullah and Al Qaeda are all more powerful and threatening today than they were before 9/11 because of Bush’s naive and reckless invasion of Iraq. Bush failed America and Israel.
